Yes, it's true. We're back. After a month long hiatus, we're back with a vengeance. Ten...count them 10...pictures from Hawaii. Our new favorite place on Earth (tied w/ Whistler). So much has happened in the past month but we are determined to keep on blogging. Just to give you some sort of excuse as to why there is no post in 30 days, let me sum up just some of the larger things that have happened in less than a month:

- Your dad went to China
- Your dad went to Singapore
- Your dad went to Australia
- Your dad graduated from College
- We threw dad a graduation party
- Your mom redid the flooring downstairs
- Your mom redid the flooring upstairs
- Your mom painted the entire house
- We scheduled a trip to Hawaii
- We booked a trip to Lake Tahoe
- We took our trip to Hawaii
- Uncle Walter came home from Iraq
- Mom and dad got two big freakin' tattoos

There's plenty more. But when all this happens in 30 days, little time is left for blogging. But things are somewhat back to normal now. So much exciting stuff is happening. Your first day of daycare is tomorrow. Wow! We'll see how it goes. Your mom is starting an internship tomorrow (thus the daycare). You are singing songs now.

Mom and Dad: "The Wheels on the bus go..."
Ayjia: "Round, Round, Round"

Very cute. You say a lot of cute things like, "Dada Hi Me!" which is baby talk for "Dad is hiding."

We got you a little plastic playhouse for your playroom. You say, "My House. I'm cooking!" (we got you a little stove to go w/ the house and we're training you to be a good woman ;)

OK....just trying to get all this stuff off my mind. But, let's talk about Hawaii.

Hawaii was our longest vacation ever. Seven full days in an Island full of sun. Cue Weezer's "Island in the Sun." You loved it. Your mom loved it. Your dad LOVED it, so we bought a timeshare. I think we'll go back once or twice. ;) After thinking about it some more, we bought a condo there too. We'll rent it out for now, but maybe one day we can live there or sell it and trade it for a house in Hawaii. Um, yeah..that sounds like fun.

So, we went to Maui. We played in the water, which must have been 70 degrees. You were a little afraid of the water, but you still enjoyed watching the waves splash up on you. You liked kicking it on the sand and building sand castles. We had you naked most days protected by a gazillion SPF sun block. I think you liked the beach more than you let on though. When we got back, we showed you pictures and you started crying and saying, "Water, water." Ummm...we're thinking you want to go back. But, then again so do we. So, you're probably going to go with your mom again in a few weeks when our condo transaction closes so that you can fix up the condo and such. And you better help your mom, I don't want to hear any of these wimpy excuses, like, "child labor laws!"

What else did we do in Maui? Hmmm.. Your dad tried surfing for the first time. I would post the pictures, but this is your blog, not your dads. We went on a "glass bottom boat" to see fishes. No jokes about the name you sickos. It was a lame boat and we all got sick. Dad asked for water and they said, "get your own!" sheesh. Probably won't be doing that again.

You watched a lot of Elmo while you were there. You were a perfect traveler. You slept on the plane both ways and mostly kept to yourself. You are the perfect child and we couldn't ask for anything more.

Anyways, it's late and we can't think of much else right now. But scroll back up and look at the beautiful pictures. And, consider this a new beginning. We'll start posting much more regularly and we'll start trying to catch up on everything that we missed in the past thirty days.

You missed out on these:

Uncle J was in town and...

- Daddy blew him off for lunch
- Daddy blew him off for dinner
- Daddy blew him off again for lunch the next day
- Daddy did it again for dinner. Something about graduating or some menial crap like that.

Oh, and most importantly, Daddy blew Uncle J off for a date at the strip club. Repeatedly.

Welcome back!
J
