So, when we wrote a few days ago, we said we would try and catch up on everything that's been happening over the past month. We can't remember everything so, we'll post a few quick quips. But, first, we'll explain the pictures above.

The first two pictures were taken during our remodeling of the house. Remodeling turned out to be extremely strenuous. In fact, we decided to stop remodeling even though we originally wanted to do more because it was too damn stressful. We fought a lot over the style, color, and layout of everything. Your mom, of course, won all except one battle...and trust us, they were battles. But, your mom is also a style genious, so everything worked out for the best. So, on top of arguing, we were staying up and running around picking out styles, getting quotes, etc (and by "we", I mean "mom"). We were all tired, but it even got to you. And, at one point, you just passed out on the floor. See, you're like your dad when he watches a movie.

The third picture requires no explanation. Those are Uncle Brother's glasses and this was just a cute picture.

The fourth picture is you with your Uncle Walter. Walter was back from Iraq for a few weeks to visit, so it was the first time he saw you since you were 6 or 7 months old. This is a picture to cherrish.

OK...on to some new things that you are up to. Today, for the first time, you said, "Mac and Cheese." Writing about this doesn't do it justice because you talk in the cutest most sensitive, angelic voice ever heard by mankind. So, when you say, "Mac and Cheese" it makes our heart melt. No pun intended.

You also started saying, "You're welcome" today. You're advancing so much every day. We have all of these wooden puzzles, some with animals, some with vehicles, etc - and you are able to identify almost every animal and vehicle. You're so freakin smart.

You had your first day of daycare yesterday. You did exceedingly well. In fact, they moved you from the "infant" room to the "toddler" room w/ other 2-3 year olds. You're only 19 months old, but they considered you mature enough to hang out w/ the older kids. You rock baby. When mom dropped you off at daycare she almost started crying. It's such a huge change and you'll probably be going to some sort of day care from now on. But, you loved it and when dad picked you up a few hours later, you were just hanging out and enjoying yourself. The teachers said you did awesome and didn't give them any trouble. We told you, you're perfect!

Tonight, dad and you took a walk together. You're doing a new thing where you say, "bye bye dada!" and dad keeps walking about 100 feet in front of you while you stop dead in your tracks. It's like you're testing boundries. Then, once dad gets far enough you yell at the top of your lungs, "dada!" and you start running torwards him. Repeat that 10 or 15 times and you get an idea of what it is like to take a walk with Ayjia.

The one other cute thing you are doing lately is playing an advanced version of "peak-a-boo." Now, you hide underneath pillows and say, "dada!" Dad says, "Ayjia, where are you?....Mom, have you seen Ayjia?" Mom says, "No?" You stay hidden for a minute or two until you throw off the pillow and yell "peak-a-boo!" It makes you laugh and you love it!

Keep on being cute baby and maybe we'll get you this shirt
